Organic Solar Cells

Developing organic solar cells from polymers is a cheap and potentially simple alternative energy. New Jersey Institute of Technology's Dr. Somenath Mitra has developed solar cells that use a carbon nanotube complex. Nanotubes are 50,000 times smaller than a human hair, but one nanotube can conduct a current better than any electrical wire.

Nanogoop that comes with a license and uses a slightly cooler printer sounds like a pretty fun future.  At the least, a fix for that fading on the sofa....

Hey, I can't replay bits to get the NJIT department link....

WOW! SOALR IN A SO CALLED NANOTUBE,WHY AREN'T YOU WORKING WITH CAR COMPANYS?

HAS TO BE BETTER THAN ETHANOL WHICH DEPLETES OUR NATURAL RESCOURES!WE NEED WATER!I WOULD LOVE A BATTERY OPERATED CAR,I'M WAY PAST READY FOR THAT BUT SOLAR & MAYBE BATTERY? THIS IS SO COOL!

ethanol use doesn't depletes natural resources as a fuel cell. Inversely water is produced after the chemical reaction

Ethanol is a joke.  It does use up natural resources, farmer have to use fertilizer, pesticide, and water to grow the grain to make the ethanol.  Because farmers are growing the grains for ethanol, the price of grain (from corn to rice) has gone up.  Because the grain price went up, live stock feed also went up which brings up meat prices.  Overall ethanol is a loose loose method of energy savings.  Another fact is, we can't grow enough grain to make any kind of dent in the oil needs of America.

We should be focusing on Butanol. It has a heating value close to that of today's gasoline unlike ethanol. It also does not corrode pipelines nor car fuel systems, which is a problem with ethanol.

Furthermore Butanol has an octane rating over 100.

Solar power is the cleanest solution to most of the energy issues. Its high time to harness this source of energy.Economics of this energy is the issue which should be looked into.

this is a great alternative to computers too, I think, because they will change  the work´s machine performance doing processes much faster. Am I Right ?

We know that the energy should not destroyed but converted to another form. If we focus solar energy in lense, it is aggresive. if we choose a proper way to utilize solar energy, it is the boon to society. we should focus to utilise the solar energy without waste by focusing our energy.
