Developed based on the core robot control technology used for Canadarm2 on the ISS (International Space Station), E3 is the latest robot platform from South Korea's Roboware. E3 is designed to be a member of the family with customizable Emotional, Entertainment and Educational contents (E3). It has Wi-Fi connectivity for online access, can be controlled via an ad-hoc network which enables voice command, has 17 articulated joints, and 3 omni-directional wheels. Multiple sensors (including 9 touch-pads, 3 IR rangers, a web-cam in its head and RFID readers in its palms) make for robust interactive communications between the E3 robot and humankind.
