It has a heating value close to that of today&amp;#39;s gasoline unlike ethanol. It also does not corrode pipelines nor car fuel systems, which is a problem with ethanol. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Furthermore Butanol has an octane rating over 100.&lt;/p&gt;
